Check and Sort Every Item

• Clothes must be clean and in good condition.

• Check each item for holes and stains.

• Iron if needed.

• Make sure no buttons are missing, the zipper works, and the elastic is still supple.

Clothing Swap in a Few Steps

1. Sign in when you arrive.

2. We only let a few people in the ruilkamer at a time, so that everyone has enough space to browse.

3. While you wait, you can chat with other parents and enjoy a free coffee or tea. (A voluntary contribution for Radar Buurtplek is welcome.)

4. In the meantime, we will check the clothing you brought in.

5. You can exchange a maximum of 20 clothing items / points per day per family.

6. Your exchange will be recorded on your Gentse Spruiten Clothing Swap points card.

Questions & Fun Facts

• Don't have anything to swap yet? You can buy a point for €1.

• Want to drop off more than 20 items? These will be considered a donation and won't earn points.

• Don't lose your card—your points never expire! Your points card is valid at every Gentse Spruiten children's clothing swap event.

• We're always looking for volunteers to help keep the swap room running. 

• We work with a voluntary contribution (suggested price €5 per visit, €3 social rate, or €1 with an UiTPAS opportunity rate)

FREE baby clothes for new parents -> only by appointment

Points are awarded as follows:

1 point for each:

• Tshirt / Shirt / Blouse
• Sweatshirt / Sweater
• Trousers / Shorts
• Dress / Skirt
• Pyjama / Playsuit
• Swimsuit or swim shorts

3 items for 1 point:

• Onesie, Undershirt, Underwear 

3 punten per item:

• Snow Suit
• Jacket

Points can only be earned for the items listed above.
